How much does the shipping cost?

Within Germany, shipping is free of charge for all orders over 100€. Under 100€ the shipping costs 4.90€. More information about international shipping can be found here

Which shipping provider do you send your packages with?

We ship with DHL.

When can I expect to recieve my order?

Our processing time is approximately 1-3 days. Once your order is on its way, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number. The delivery time depends on the shipping company, but is usually 2-5 days in Germany, 3-7 days in Austria and Switzerland, about 15 days within Europe and 20 days worldwide.

Is it possible to change my order?

We can't give a guarantee, but we will definitely see what we can do. Sometimes it is still possible to make changes to an order if it has not yet left our studio.

Exchanges & Returns

Are returns/exchanges possible?

Don't worry, of course, we understand that sometimes an order doesn't fit perfectly. If something doesn't fit well or doesn't meet your expectations, you can return it within 14 days of receipt. You can learn more about this on our page on this topic here here

Are returns free of charge?

Exchange are for free for order inside Germany. For outside Germany exchange we are recommend to replace a new order.

Please note that sale items are excluded from free exchange. For the exchange of sale items, we recommend that you send us the items as a return and place a new order. 

For return: we are not able to cover the return fee since we are an independent company. We will need to charge you 6€ for the return for orders inside Germany, or you can send the item(s) back to us with the shipping provider of your choice to the following address:

What are the conditions for a return?

The item must be returned within 14 days of receipt and in its original condition.

Of course you are allowed to try on the products as long as you do not remove the labels and the hygiene seal.

How do I return/exchange a product?

For exchange: just click on the link to our returns portal at the bottom of the tracking email. Follow the instructions and that's it. Easy and free of charge. Can't find the link? Here it is: Returns Portal 

For return: we charge a return fee of 6€ if you want to use our return portal. Or send the package back to us with a courier of your choice to the following address:

We will refund you or send you the exchanged items as soon as we receive your return. 

Please make sure that returns must be made within 14 days in the original condition with all tags. Please also note that no free returns are allowed on SALE products. 

How long does it take until the return has been fully processed?

Once your order has arrived in our studio it will take us 3-5 workdays to process the return. So, if everything is alright with the items you'll be recieving you money back in the same form that you placed your purchase with in 14 Days

Can I return items from several orders in one parcel?

Of course. In fact, we encourage you to do so, as it is more environmentally friendly. It would be nice if you could note on your return sheet which items belong to which order so that we can process the returns more easily.

What sizes do you offer?

Our products range from XS to XXXL.

How do I find the best style for me?

We offer swimwear with different fits, all of which have slightly different features. To make sure that the piece you choose meets your personal requirements, you can take a look at our bikini guide, where we list each of our models and explain their individual features. Click here

What if I can't decide between two styles/prints/sizes?

If you can't decide on one item, it is of course no problem to order several variants. You can return what you do not want to keep. However, we encourage you to think carefully before you order to take into account the CO2 emissions and the extra work for us and the carriers to send it back and forth. But we are sure you will make a wise decision.

What are your products made of?

Our swim- and sportswear is made 81% recycled polyester 19% elastane. 

What is special about the fabric you use?

Our fabric consists of sustainably sourced fibers, recycled from waste. Additionally the composition of our fabric makes it very durable and resistant to salt water, sunscreen, chlorine and UV light.

What is the best way to wash your items?

To enjoy your swim- or sportswear for the longest possible time, we recommend hand washing it with cold water and without detergent.

However, if you do wish to wash it with detergent, we advise you to use a mild and eco-friendly product. Washing our items in the washing machine is also possible, but it is best to do so on a gentle setting. Additionally we advise the use of a anti-microplastic washing bag. Sustainability & Manufacturing

Where are your items produced?

We team up with a small studio in Hefei, China where we have our items produced under fair conditions and SA80001 Standard.

How do you assure fair working conditions?

Since the studio we work together with doesn´t have a huge amount of workers (around 15), it is easier to take care of and to provide for every one of them. Each worker has a face and a voice, too. The studio pays a wage higher than the average in the area and has reasonable working hours. Lunchtime is important, just as finishing time is. Aditionally boochens founder Jing - from China herself - is able to assure a smoothe comunication, skipping the language barrier.

What certificated have you recieved considering your social and ecological sustainability?

We were in the 2020 selection for the green product award.In 2021 we were in the running for Europes most renowned Award in the area of sustainability the "Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis" in the cathegory design.

Our fabrics are under global recycle standard 4.0 certificated and our partner manufacture is SA80001 certificated.

How do you assure sustainable packaging?

We use acid-free paper for our packages such as gift paper and hygienic stickers, printed with soy-based inks.

Our ziplock bag is made from a combination of PBAT, a bio-based polymer that is compostable, and PLA which is made up of plant materials such as regular field corn and wheat straw. Which can be reused many times and suitable for composting even at home.

In ambition to further reduce our environmental impact we introduced the REUSE campaign in 2020 where we reuse the cardbord boxes that you send back to us with your returns or exchanges.

Are your products vegan?

Yes, all boochen products are vegan.

Where is the boochen headquarter?

Our studio is based in Hanover, Germany. This is the home of the boochen team and the city where Jing, the founder of boochen did her degree in fashion design. Haven't been to Hanover? we think it's worth a visit!

What is boochens philosophy?

"boo" is short for blue ocean obsessed. That describes us pretty well! Ocean lovers through and through. The end of the word -chen is a german word ending used to describe something or someone cute and lovely. Combining these terms summs up our core values in one word "boochen"! A design philosphy that creates something that is not only good for the people wearing it, but also good for the planet.
